Also Mortuary sword or German Reitschwert. Has only one cutting edge (therefore its name). The non-cutting edge is thicker, creating a wedge-like shape. This shape supposedly increases cutting capacity.

- Also crossbow. Consists of a bow attached to an arched stick. Is powerful, low-trajectoried weapon. Fires a bolt (a shorter arrow).
- Cod-piece
- Fabric covering for the groin, latterly padded. Its counterpart in armour could be either of mail or, more usually, of plate.
- Kapak
- Small throwing axe consists of a tanged metal head fitted into a flat wooden handle.
